1st Day of 2008
Was away from work since 19th Dec and practically did nothing...no holiday plans...it was kinda new for me. No hassle and no pressure of planning and making sure the plan was working accordingly...For the first time also , I did not receive urgent calls from office during this break. Some lesson learned:-
1) Don't plan! Don't even think what you need to do for the day....just wake up and follow your heart.. you will surprise how at ease you will be.
2) Take leave when your colleagues or bosses are also on leave.....Why? So they don't call you! Seriously...I used to think that the best time to be in the office was when your bosses/colleagues are away and you can lepak in the office ....Wrong! They will call you when you are on leave!...Unless you are the type where you get the kick that your are very important at work and your office can't live without you!!!
3) I realised that I tend to spend more when I am on a break...even without holidays... By now I know every corner of Pavilion, Gardens Mid Valley....where to park your car the best so that you can get out of the building fast during peak hours....Oh the staff at Starbucks will be giving me my spot in their Halls of Fame soon...kekeke. So need to cut down the length of holidays or cut out my credit in my next long holiday plan.
Well in the last 15 days of break, attended a few outings:
1) A Christmas Eve wedding lunch.... It was an college mate wedding. He was 39 and the bride 25....looks like the trend now or its my age....anyway ...a nice simple lunch reception and meeting some old college mates....but have to find excuses not to attend wedding invitations anymore...cos running out of ideas how to explain me being still "single"....urggh....hate straight weddings....
2) Later part that nite....had a small Christmas Eve gathering with my wife and his k'sistas'...its was nice and cosy.....and minus the gift exchanges which has become very overbearing in some past parties that we attended.
3) Last Nite... New Year's eve was our 5th Anniversary....Arranged a nice chinese dinner at Yu Jia Restaurant in Jalan Imbi with my wife's 'sistas'....The food was great and I highly recommend this restaurant for a good fine chinese dining. After dinner, we walked to Bkt Bintang....well it was really happening ....The street was jammed packed with people and the mood was great!...We sat and gathered at the Dome ....its was the only place we could get....as the count down began, the revellers were spraying the fake snow....which I thought was a little late right for Christmas....anyway it was forgiven as everyone was really high!......Then came the firework which my wife enjoyed so much.....He was a like a little kid shouting out with every firework display.....Oh as promised to wife...I presented him our first diamond ring.....though a small one but promised it will grow to a bigger one our next 8th anniversary....kekeke...
Well 15 days of break had just passed by so quickly...but it is one of my better break.... and now I itching to get to back to work....I think thats how a break from work so be....don't you think so?....
Happy New Year everyone.....may you have a blessed year ahead of you....

The Past 12 months
Ok. I thought I could come back in Mid Dec to update...but I didn't....why? simple...lazy ....
Anyway after having read the comment from my fellow blogger, Magus, I thought i would come back to recall the good, bad and so so for the last 12 months before the year 2007 comes to a close...
Lets start with the Past 12 months
The Good
1. My honeymoon holiday with my wifey. The best we have had and he really gave a great birthday gift.
2. Thailand. Why? Both of us have visited Chiang Mai , Bangkok, Phuket in the last 6 months of 2007. We were supposed to go Krabi in Nov but postponed it to March next year...But Thailand is definitely our no. 1 holiday destination.
3. Sex Life. Never been better and we are still at it every week even though we been together for 5 years. ...kekeke... ( Magus u might think me as ham sap...but good sex is always good for your heart and soul....hahaha )
4. Our 5th anniversary. This year we celebrated our 5 years together and promised to take one day at a time and see and how far we go. Presented my wife his first diamond ring ( refer to my Wedding blog )... though a small carat but will grow to a bigger one as we go along...I promised.
5) Aging. Yup...I think I am aging quite well ( yeah you may say 37 is still young ) but with the passing of days and nites so fast....I can't complain that I am even more healthier and upbeat compared to when I was 30.
The So So
1) Work....Could be better as they say. Not that bad but just say could be better. Was able to travel for business trip quite often this year but the end results matters more. Will strive to do better next year.
The Bad
1) Friends with Cancer. Received 2 news from 2 colleagues who were stricken with Colon cancer. It was shocking to me as both have good health practices ....so it hit me hard to know that cancer strikes when you least expected. Thank goodness both of them are responding well to the chemo treatment.
2) My Temper. This year my temper has hit a record high. Need to keep that in check otherwise I may get myself into lots of unnecessary trouble.
So it looks like a short recap of 2007....why? Cos time really flew by so fast that we tend not remember every single detail and only the significant ones stayed vividly in our mind.
I shall return again with my resolution for 2008....huh...if I am not that lazy....Hahaha..
Happy New Year everyone... Cheers.

Countdown to 2008
I thought it was because of age that time does flies faster but a conversation with a Starbuck Barista yesterday showed otherwise ...she is 21 by the way...and she sighed that time flies very fast....So its not age then....Has our living habits/styles changed that makes us think that time really gone pass very fast now or the earth had spun faster than we realised it.
Hmm...maybe I should try out something new here....put up a blog everyday in the month of December...track down what I do...will it be a good idea? or just leave as it is and come back again 30th Nov 2008 to revisit this entry....ah...new year's resolution....did i manage to keep mine? I shall come back on that in mid Dec...

Pavillion vs The Gardens Vs Sunway Pyramid
You see both my wife and me are kinda shopaholic!!...we just love to spend the weekend window shoppings...Well all gays are shopaholic aren't we....How would the shops survived without our PINK dollars...
Lets start with Pavillion.
The first of the 3 malls that had rushed to open its doors for the Raya festivals. Well me being me...I was one of the kiasu....went to pay a visit on the first day( errr....later found out my wife even more steady....he was there before the official opening!! ) Expecting it to be kinda still under heavy renovation, to my surprise they managed to open quite a number of stores. First impression....the stores windows displays are huge and kinda overwhelming for some...like the ladies accessory shop BONITA...the Ah Lian shop with large window display....wah lau eh!!...overall it does look like SIAM Paragon. The layout is nice and kinda balanced. But the disappointment is the lack of new brands.....Its the same everywhere....Couple of new F&B outlets .....Essperamante and The Loaf....Well I would say Essperamante stands out and definitely would be the next gay hang out for people watching......Was there with my wife over the Raya weekend....met some of our kakis...and one bitch called us the "Kopi Ching" ( Queen of Coffee Cafe ) ....cos both of us always hang out in cafes over the weekend... The Loaf is your upmarket bakery...owned by Mahatir.....well maybe people are curious....so it gets crowded on the weekends.... but i would say the Chilli Foccacia bread is kinda nice.
Oh one thing I notice....we Malaysian are as kiasu as Singapore now...u see when I was in Singapore... there is this Donut shop called Donut Factory where kiasu singaporean will be in long que to buy ....Well now this same scenario is at the J.CO Donut shop..... the long que is there everyday!!!.....deja vu...remember roti boy ???....will this last?...time will tell...
My favourite hang out......Starbuck on the 6th Floor. Quiet and cozy on weekdays.
The Gardens
This mall opened a week later. Well I didn't rush to visit it ....went on the second day of opening...hahaha.....First impression....messy and dusty!!!.... how can allow that!.....My wife kinda like this place better because he likes the woody panelling and earthy feelings... They had 2 anchors tenants Isetan and Robinsons....well Isetan was a bored...seriously not worth your time ....KLCC outlet would be better. Ah...the old Robinsons from across the causeway is here....It was refreshing to have new label in town....and the customer service so far....impressive...hopefully they can sustain that smiley face....u see...business had not been that good.....there were hardly any crowd considered it was the Raya festival... very soon they would need to see how to bring in the crowd. Again not much new outlets/brands to shout about.. The F&B recommendation would be the DIN TA Fung ( famous Taiwan dumpling rest) and the Purple Cane Restaurant. Had tried Din Ta Fung in Taiwan and the quality almost the same ...but a bit pricey compared to Dragon-I....Purple Cane is a nice change if you enjoyed tea and much less oily cooking style....Now waiting for the opening of the new GSC Premium Cinema to see what is all about...
My favourite hang out.....Starbuck on Level 2.....hmmm....see some similiarity.... : )
Sunway Pyramid
Of the 3 this was the last to open and rank last of my list......cos its just not exciting at all....maybe it was not gay enough...hahaha...seriously...the outlets are so Ah Bengs and Ah Lians leh....go check out and you will agree. I have only spent 1 hour and I wanted to get out....The new California opened in the old wing....of the 3 California gyms .....this place is cozier ....but not happening cos ...all young Ah Beng crowd and not appetising!! hahaha....
The recommendation would be the Restoran Ole Ole Bali in the old wing.....The food is good and ambience ok but don't sit out side cos you are sharing the walkway with shoppers....so its not nice passer by staring at you while you eat...
My favourite hangout....cuba teka?
Which is your favourite?

Health vs Wealth
Yesterday, I had the chance to meet and chat with my colleague that is stricken with cancer.....Since she broke the news to me about 2 months ago, I did not visit her and met her..It was just sms and a couple of calls....Maybe I was afraid to see her face to face...dont know what to tell her or say....It was pretty awkward for me yesterday.
To my surprise , she looked pretty upbeat when I chatted. Apart of her cropping her hair short, I could not detect anything else in wrong with her or she is a cancer patient. She shared some of her experience on what she went through since the doctor broke the news to her....She is now trying to be more positive to move ahead .....Doctors say she will only know if she is out of the woods in 5 years time...So to her, she is living everyday now to the fullest....even though she may occasionally get knocked down with the chemo session she needs to go through....In fact the docs had implanted a metal component in her body for the chemo drips....she was jokingly saying that she is now a droid....
One incident she shared that really touched me was about her writing her will on the eve of her operation day...She cried and cried while writing the will ...she is single by the way and lived with her aged mother....when she finished her will she realised that she needs to get 2 witness signatory....and there was not enough quorum at home....so she drove out to another friend's place to get the friend signed the will as witness....That really tugged my heart...seriously...
So it got to me thinking....even I had all the money/wealth and having to put them on a will .....what for!! if I do not have good health to enjoy it!
So what is your choice?
I will live to the fullest each and every day... earned enough to get through a healthy day everyday.....

881: The Papaya Girls......Me & Myself
Lets start with 881: The Papaya Girls.
This Singapore movie received rave reviews in Singapore and was a box office there. Unfortunately it wasn't the same here. Maybe very little publicity and we are just anti-Singapore...kiasu atititude...Anyway I went to catch this movie with my wife.....we anticipated that this will be typical Singapore comedy movie. Well yes true but it also had its touching moments....First with the comedy....the movie was in Hokkien most of the time.....so you must know the language to enjoy it...there were few good comedic moments....the most memorable one what when the main characters were performing the "Ta Siu Yan" ( in cantonese) ceremony in English.....It was literally translated as 'Hit the Little Man"......The audience was roaring with laughter with scene ...even though there were only 30 of us in the whole cinema....Yeah the other comedic moment was not from the movie....but more to do with the aunty sittin behind me...I tell you ....she was cursing the bitch characters in the movie......she was cursing quite loud .....both my wife and I chuckled...
The touching moment came when one of the lead characters was diagnosed with cancer. The scene where she went through the process of chemo .....dropping hair....and death....really has my eyes welling with tears.....caused it brought me to think my friend situation...She is going through chemo now....and there already changes in her outlook....its scares you and also show how vulnerable we are against this disease....I just prayed that she will be strong.....
To me ...live everyday likes there is no tomorrow.
2nd Movie: Me & Myself
Bought this DVD for a few weeks already but never had the chance to watch....So on Sunday evening decided to catch with my DVD collections while my wife attended a wedding dinner.
This is a Thai movie which was a hit in Thailand....and again not here...A sensitive and romantic movie for me....The story is about a guy who was accidentally hit by this car driven a girl....the guy got amnesia ....girl had to bring back and take care of guy...after a while ..girl fall for guy....had sex...then wah la....guy woke up from amnesia....only to know he is gay!....Guy had to leave girl....girl and gay guy got confused...the question posed....would the girl want to have queer husband!.....Can this happened in real life? There was a scene in the movie that depicts how this guy was 'transformed' from an innocent sweet baby to being a gay!...You see the baby was orphaned and grew up in a environment surrounded by transvestite performers...so its his surrounding that caused him to be gay and not born gay...if I think that the movie was trying to tell you.....ah hah really? The movie ended with the girl and guy decided to accept the fact and to be best friends.....touching.
To me ....being gay is something we have to accept as our own responsibility and our own choice and live with it.
So how was your weekend.....

Reflection.....
Been travelling a bit for work over the last few weeks. Had my first trip to Brunei in early Sept.....if you ever thinking of retirement....Brunei is a place to consider....but that is if you want to bored to death!....hahaha......really really an unhappening city or should i call town.....the town is dead by 7.30 pm...no kidding....clubbing is non existence caused this is an Islamic country. The Sultan is freaking rich and his subjects are all well taken care of.... which makes his subject really contented and boring people...As for the gay community, i think all of them are closeted....caused there is really no place to party or hang out!....Oh one thing that left an impression on me was the picture of the Queen...aiyoh....you would thought that with such wealth she would have been photographed more professionally....but the queen pic that hangs in all government and private offices was really horrendous.....she looked like a made up doll with heavy red cheeks and lots of diamonds....go imagine...maybe next trip i take a pic and share.
Last week was in Singapore over the weekend....ah this is a city I will consider to retire in....really an opposite of Brunei....full of excitements......the gay community is active...just step out of my hotel you will see sistas strutting around....and furthermore ......shopping, shopping and shopping....you can shop till you die...But only if you have the dough to retire in Singapore.
So why my blog title......Reflection?
In the last 2 weeks, I have received unfortunate news ....3 of friends had shared bad news....2 was stricken with cancer and one got Hep A....Both the cancer patients (ladies friends) are diagnosed with late stage of cancer.....one with colon and the other with rectum and lung cancer.....and both are just the same age as I am ( late 30s) ....they were both healthy and they were no significant symptoms.....but out of sudden ..it just hits them....and their life crushed....the other guy with Hep A was ok....but it gave us a scare because we were worried for his family ....cos he has a family of young triplets....so our thought was to the children and wife...what if something seriously happened?
From these news.....it got me to sit down and reflect my life....where i am now...where am i going and how and what i need to do..
I shall return....with my thoughts....

After The Wedding Dinner.....
My wife is always the perfect planner. He has been planning for months for our special occasion. He had planned it around my birthday which was yesterday....Yeah , am older and wiser now. Hah.
Back to the honeymoon, my wife had meticulously planned from everything......so he gave me notice to take leave for 3 days way back 3 months ago.... He did not tell me where we going....just said pack your bags and have your passport ready!!.....I waited in great anticipation for the day to come....
As we were getting closer to the day....he revealed bits of information....first clue...Thailand!....Then Phuket Island......and expensive hotels!! Hmm... I was like oh my... my wife was really giving me a treat...
Day 1- 17th Aug 2007
Took the Air Asia flight at 12.45 ....It was a full flight....my oh my...its true now everyone can fly! It was a smooth flight and slightly over 1 hour we landed in Phuket.....It started to rain!!! ...but I was in good mood...actually really didn't care about the weather cos I was looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing....Our pickup was already there for us....It was MALISA....nope it was not the girl that pick us up...It was the hotel villa that we were going to stay.... Hop into the Harrier pickup and off we go...
An hour later....we were at the hotel...It was actually very near to Club Med Phuket....the reception area nice and cozy....the receptionist were very nice....Yeah maybe becos it was very expensive...Within 10 mins we were off to our villa in a buggy....
When we reached the villa...I was awed by the villa setup....Let run down the set up... A private pool with sun decks...a huge room where you can jump into the pool from your bed once you slide the window door open...a huge bathroom with an antique wood bathtub.. an outdoor shower....a kitchen....a reading place....I was like going wow! this place is freaking bigger that my apartment!.....I turned to my wife and gave him a big hug and passionate kiss....Told him I love him....ahhh....it was happiness at that point in time....
The place really overwhelmed me......my wife decided to take a shower at the outdoor shower....The sight really made me horny!!....so you can guess as much what happened next....we make out at every corner we can think off....the best part...we were naked with the windows door opened!!we didn;t care!!! It tired us out!....So we just laid back with my wife snuggling by my side...ahh...blissfully and happiness.....
The came another surprise announcement...we are checking out the next day cos we are moving to another villa north Phuket...Oh my.....
The night came....we didn't do much...just strolled down the street near by ....had a simple thai dinner at a place near the beach....Retired back in the hotel room with my wife besides me...Rained heavily in the nite ...made it better for us to snugged closely...
Day 2 -18th Aug 2007
The morning came....our breakfast came.....Not served on the bed but the cook came by and prepared the food in the kitchen,.....Argh ...another luxury...both me and my wife tucked in our breakfast besides the pool....It started to drizzle again....but we didn't mind....My wife decided to dip into the pool....stark naked!!!...hmmm...I was just sitting by the pool and enjoying the sight...
By 12 , we packed and checked out MALISA......
Another hour later....we reached our 2nd destination....the PAVILION. Its situated north of Phuket Island and about 20 mins from the airport. Its sits on a hill top....Greet by nice receptionist .....but this time we had to wait out about another 30 mins as our rooms are not ready ....apparently it was fully booked for the weekend....Anyway, I didn't mind otherwise I would have bitched!! ....but it was going a great honeymoon....so I relaxed...
Our room was ready and the buggy took us to our villa.....Reached Villa no.5....it was on the top of the hill....Once we reached and entered the villa.... I was going WOW!......This bloody villa is 2 times bigger than MALISA....the INFINITY pool was twice bigger!....And it provides iPOD...how cool can that be!!....It was heaven at that point in time....settled down quickly....my wife decided to dip into the pool again....naked...and me stayed and watched.....again I was horny....hahaha....it was a sex romp week for us... we make out in the open air and the cabana...near the pool....with a view of the Andaman sea....hmm...
Nite fall....my arrange for dinner is Dusit Laguna hotel....a 15 mins drive from PAVILION....it was a nice simple dinner ...back in our hotel....we just sat and snugged on the sofa watching tv.....cool nite as it was drizzling...Then came 12 midnight my wife brought out birthday cake and sang a very Happy Birthday song ....ahhh....how lucky I am....blow the candle and enjoyed the cake....I looked into my wife eyes...and think how bloody lucky I am....
Retired to bed ......and the rain poured hard out there.....
Next morning came....I was still in bed....but my wife already in the pool....me watching from the bed with the door slide opened ...you see... the pool is connected to the pool only separated by the sliding door....you can walked straight into pool from the bed.....again he was naked.!!!.....and me horny again!!!......hahhaah....before you think we were making out again....no lah....boh lat liao.!!! it was a thought...
We had a simple breakfast at the coffee house.....with a great view...
Later, we were packing to go home...by 5 we were back in KL..
It was definitely the best birthday gift I had ever received ....and it was truly a honeymoon for us...
Lov....bb love u .

Ye Shanghai Ye Shanghai- Day 3 & 4
Day 4 - Aug 1st
The usual conferences and seminars to attend....blah blah blah...thought it was more relaxed as it had entered the 3rd day ...everyone already restless and tires after partying too much the last 2 days.
Its the eve night before I leave Shanghai. So decided to have a nite out but no kaki....so I ended going out with this lady from Indonesia.. A pretty spunky nice Indonesia Chinese....We decided to go clubs hopping .... on a Wednesday nite!...little did we realise that it wasn't a great nite to be out....First stop, French Concessions area....ranked to be the happening place....maybe its summer....the place was not really happening!!! we ended in a place having a quick bite as the dinner earlier was not too great....We did asked the waiters where are the happening clubs in the French Concession area....it was futile as there are not the partying types...
So we decided to have our little travel booklet as guidance......after much thought we decided to go to a place called ATTICA on the Bund....the booklets says its the happening place with a spectacular view of the BUND....so we jumped in a cab and off we go....reached the building....it was deserted....so we were wondering did we get to the right place...then we realised it was located on the top floor of the building...11th Floor....so off we go with anticipation....came out of the lift... and we heard the music booming....hah...we found the place...then something was amiss...no que...we ventured into the club......ONLY 2 of US!!.....we quickly exited....hahaha....my god ....so much for a place rated as happening!...anyway back downstairs...the PR was nice to tell us that its a quiet nigth cos its summer time...then why did you tell us when we first came in!....i guess he was trying his luck....again I pull out my travel guide....looking out for another club...spotted one call MINT....so we decided to give it a last try...the PR guy was kind enough to help tell our cab to get to this place... So of we go..... Initially supposed to be a 5 mins drive turn into a 20 mins drive....at one point we were thinking....my god have we been taken for a long ride... Finally we reached MINT.....it was actually a 2 stories bungalow....converted into chic restaurant downstair and a club upstair....but IT was a ANG MOH place...full of gwailohs.... and of course the presence of SPGs ....shanghai way.....kinda to think of it SPGs is universal....just not only in Singapore! .....We hang out for about 30 mins....and we called it a quit cos it was not happening for both of us....she did not like Ang Mohs neither do I...furthermore there were no Gays spotted....so we balik lah....so much for a club hopping experience in Shanghai....Should have gone straight to a Gay Club instead....maybe there would be better environment....but cant expose my preference so soon right...
Day 5 - Aug 2nd
Took the morning flight home....with MH.....arrgh it was Airbus 330......not individual entertaiment screens.....how lah to tahan 4 hrs flight without proper entertaiment...Thats why I am going SQ from now on!.... I promise myself....However , the flight was good as there was minimal turbulence...reached KL ahead of time....Yeah the crew was much better except for one incidence.......This cabin guy was trying to be funny ....but i thought it was rude and not in good taste.....U see....he was serving our lunch ....so he asked ( with that stupid accent!!)....
Cabin crew > sir would you like tea or coffee....
I said > tea please.....
Cabin crew> chinese tea or english tea?
I said > Chinese tea
Cabin Crew > oh of course ....chinese like chinese tea!
I was like ....hello!!!.....that was not nice...what ...Chinese cannot take english tea ah....so before I lashed out my tongue....he quickily apologised and said he was kidding....to me...it was unnecessary!....MH ...pleaselah sent your ppl back for training....how canlah we keep on winning BEST Cabin Crew Awards with these attitudes.
Anyway it was back home with nice weather ...... u kinda appreciate it becos it was not over 39....thank goodness for that...

Ye Shanghai Ye Shanghai - Day 3
Day 3 - 1st Aug
Today the conference got into full swing....Was supposed to attend all the meeting sessions ....so it was all talk and blah blah blah... Towards the midday I was already sian....sneaked out from the convention hall and went back to hotel. Organised a luncheon with a group of partners in Shang's chinese restaurant....The food was fantastic. The best I have tasted so far in my trip to Shanghai. But did put on a bit of weight....teruk have to diet teruk teruk when back in KL.
In the afternoon, just stayed backed in hotel room and rested....just didn't want to go out caused it was 39 degree again outside. ....wah lau how to tahan.... and I was drinking water every 15 mins to keep hydrated..
Towards the evening, was supposed to go out for dinner but decided to stay in again....asked my business partner to makan sendiri....they ventured to KTV....u know the one with GROs...so I excused myself ....pretend headache lah....
It was an unadventurous day .....but enjoyed the luxury of Shangrila hotel...
Ye Shanghai Ye Shanghai
Day 2 - 30th July
The tempature was soaring in Shanghai.....it reached 40 degrees in the mid afternoon...Aiyoh....how can people tahan one....actually pity those local who has no access to air conditioned place....At least I got to stay in nice cool room.
Anyway, I did a short tour out....bring my business partners caused I needed to do my duty...So we ventured to Yuyuan Garden, a must go place for tourist to have pictures or shopping for souvenirs....It was my second time around ....so it didn't really excite me this time around....the last time I visited the weather was bearable and nice.....and I took like hundreds of pictures....this time around ...I just wanted to get out as soon as I could..... How to pose pose lah in such weather....kesian the amohs
Did a little quick souvenirs shopping for my colleague...you knowlah...have to bring back something otherwise kena saboh....
In China.... the biggest industry is COPYING....they can copyAi sai man....they are really teruk man...
Oh one thing about copying which is really bad and tickled me was ENGLISH....see what I mean with the pictures....hilarious
The afternoon is when the proper business meetings started....It was the usual blah blah blah....Fortunately it was short and sweet....so we were all off for dinner.
Brought my business partners to Xintian Di.....the ala happening place....eat at this restaurant called Ye Shanghai...thus the title of my blogs for this trip....food was not bad especially the Shanghainese cold dishes....was good but the bill came to a bomb!....but company pays ....so didn;t care....
Adjourned to a drinking bar near by ....but not much happening as most people stayed indoors....we were the blokes which sat outside ala KL Bintang walk.....aiyoh whyla...I wondered...Didn't hang out for long as I cannot tahan the stickiness ....so went back to hotel
Ahh.....how nice....cool ...and I wish my 'wife' was with me... who were fanning frantically to keep cool.... anything!!!......from electronics, clothes, accessories to even food stuff.....Oreo in China is copied as OLIAO!!! ..
Day 1- 29th July
Boarded MH 388 flight to Shanghai....actually wanted to change to SQ caused I find the cabin crew better in service and of course more good looking... But decided to try out MH after such a long time..And guess what ....MH had not changed....for the better....the crew looks like they are overworked and not really friendly...of course the SQ's one sometime over did it with the smiles and it looked fake. The flight was ok i guess caused we had the Boeing 777....so we had good entertainment on the individual screen.... But 2 incidents really kinda pissed me a bit....
1) There was this kakak crew who had this walk as though he is a model ala datin....u know the one that put one leg upfront first before the second leg come forward!!....I was hungry at one point so when to back to get some peanuts ....ask this kakak can i have one...kakak said no!...but then gave me the sheepishly smile and said joking only la...don't angry hoh!....Aiyoh...whylah our MH crew like that one...
2) Another crew story...this time a China girl. MAS hires local China girl to assist the flight..she was really loud and rude!!...she was your typical China girl....fat a bit where the kebaya gonna burst out soon...as we were landing she was sitting in front of me....can you imagine she was yacking with one crew member sitting opposite the other lane....she was bitching and the worse she swore a couple of times in Mandarin ...she thought that I did not understand!!! Aiyo yo.... whylah MAS....
Landed in Pudong airport ...was there in 2004 when the airport just opened....but after 3 years ...it looked a bit jaded!!... KLIA still looks good after 10 years!!! Bravo malaysia....But they have built another new spanking terminal ....
Once I stepped out of the airport.....Wah lau! It was freaking hot!!....It 39 degrees out there....my cab driver told me it was 40 degrees the day before!!
It was a 45 mins drive into the city....One familiarity striked me.....HAZE! Shanghai Pudong was enveloped under a thick haze!!!....and with the hot weather...it wasn't a pleasant sight..
Once I reached the hotel....I quickily jumped out and went straight to the lobby...Stayed in Shangri La Hotel....got a new and nice room....and that compensate the terrible condition out there....
On the first night , we ( my MD and another colleague) were to attend a cocktail party in Grand Hyatt Jin Mao Tower...which was the tallest hotel in the world before the Al Burajh in Dubai claimed the status....anyway Grand Hyatt was a walking distance from Shangri La....but because of the weather..... we decided to take a cab.....So we call lah for a cab that was waiting in front of shangri la.....we jumped in the cab....and told the cab we wanted to go Grand Hyatt......the next thing....the cab driver gave us the angry look and started sighing....complaining that he had waited for 50 mins in the que and now we are going for a short trip of 3 mins drive....we didnt want to budge cos we were already in the cab....so he had no choice.....but the ride was unpleasant as he keep on sighing and sighing....haiyah we were thinking he could waited another 60 mins and maybe no business...so what was his problem....After the cocktail party , we decided to walk....
Quickly had another shower to cool down....and stayed in the room.
Sms my "wife" and told him how freaking hot it was....and I sighed.......

My Wedding Dinner
Yup.....it was a simple and traditional....
Yeah right!!....it was a joyous occasion but it wasn't to celebrate my union with my partner.... It was my mom 70th birthday celebration......hahaha....
So I was sitting there next to my BF and whispering to my BF that it can be taken as our wedding dinner liao lah since I have all my family and close member around us.....My BF gave me the look and said "....Dear ....it has to be the real thing!!....not this..." I said oK....will think about it...and asked him whether he wants to be in a beautiful and perfect wedding gown with perfect cleavage and boobs....we both just smiled and chuckled....cos....we just witnessed a young bride next door in the same restaurant....wearing an oversize wedding gown and we can see that the poor bride was stuffing her boobs to fill up the oversize cups of her wedding gown!!... oh my god!!
Anyway....it was a happy occassion for my mom....she is 70....a great grandmother now..(opps I am a grand-uncle at such young age...guess I am lucky).....3 sons ( me the youngest) ....with 3 daughter- in -laws.....yeah the youngest daughter- in- law is gay...My BF is kinda close with my mom now and he calls on my mom every Tue, Thurs and I call my mom every Mon, Wed Fri.....isnt she is hang fook?
Back to my real wedding.....do you think it can happen? In Malaysia? .....meantime I am saving as much as I can cos my BF wants nothing less than a 2 carat diamond ring for the weeding..

End of 1st Half 2007
Whew....the last 2 weeks has been crazy.....or maybe lazy...didn't have the time to update the blog. Looking back not sure why I didn't log in any thoughts....again maybe I was lazy.
But I finally sat down today back in my hometown....Melaka....Having tea in starbuck in Mahkota Parade. Reflecting how 6 months just passed by again....Wah lau...What have I accomplished? Have I met what I thought I had set out early this early or I did not even planned for anything!
Yeah....maybe I did not plan...just like what happened over the last 2 weekends....splurged on a new PDA phone..HTC Touch....I highly recommend this PDA...its sleek and nice....Next...almost splurged on a new Canon SLR Digital Camera....but held back...hmm,....gettting a little out of hand on the shopping! Malaysia Mega Sales you are such a devil!
Let me see what should I do for the next 6 months.......ah...err...should I do this? or that? ....get this ...or buy that....hmmmm.....what the hell....just follow the flow....and revisit this again on 3oth Dec 2007 ...

Fathers' Day
Fathers' Day ...this is the day where fathers all over the world being honoured. For myself , I have never celebrated it before.
My parents divorced when I was 3 or 4...can't remember. Anyway my mom left my father and brought me along and my 2 other brothers. Ever since that, my father just dissappeared. Never to appear again in my life until I was 16.....just a chance to meet him once to get his signatory for the issuance of my passport....even though my mom tried so hard not to get him involved....but immigration insisted that just as long my father was alive....he needs to sign! Oi....Jabatan Immigresen....wake up! There are many cases where single mothers faced the same situation and sometimes can't locate the fathers.....Anyway....that was history and hopefully things has changed for the better now with the Immigration.
About 15 years ago, my father decided to go back to Hainan Island...back to his kampung...yeah right... I am your pure chinaman!...Left no contacts whatsoever....Last year, I got news from my distant relatives that he had passed away about 4 years ago. Again a pure case of MIA ended death.
So did I miss out anything on father and sons relationship? I don't know...cos I don't know how...Watching my BF's relationship with his father makes me wonder have I missed out anything....Or because of the missing connection ...I am gay today!.....( hey there were scientific behaviour research saying absent father will make the son gay.....hahaha!)
I have never been really bothered about not having a father....but of late with the heavy commercialism of celebrating Fathers Days.....you get smacked in your face with all sweet lovey dovey must do for fathers days...and that bothers me a little.
But hey I do celebrate Mothers' Day because she all I have.... ; )

Starbucks in the City
I do. Used to be 2 places .....One in Great Eastern Mall and the other one Menara Standard Chartered Building ( which has since closed down....pity)
What makes these 2 places special? The crews! They are just outstanding in their services and know you by the name.
In Great Eastern Mall....the crew are just great and the bubbly Siti ( you are such a baby and there never once I saw you frown) .....the beary looking Sekar ( this guy is very obliging , don't be deceived by his built and look)....Moha the ex-supervisor ( he is your customer care manager and put your needs in front of him)
Furthermore, Great Eastern Mall is a great place...relax and casual and not crowded ...you know like the one in Mid Valley... so like pasar malam sometimes.
Tell me your favourite Starbucks....
Metrosexual or Gay?
Hmm.... the other night my BF and I went to this cafe for dinner. The owner was celebrating his birthday and had prepared steamboat. He asked us to join in but we politely declined and both of us ordered our usual dinner.
This owner goes to the same gym and has a well built muscular body ....and that night he was wearing a tight singlet.....With him was a group of guys in with great body, cute faces and tight clothes.....so first impression.....must be GAY!.... Wrong! and with them were a group of slutty looking girls ( opps I may have exaggarated that a bit)....so they are your macho guys.
This so called grey area homo sapiens are called Metrosexuals. They are your self proclaimed straights who are not afraid to show their femininity instincts.
Hello....why are we being introduced with new breeds/terminology and confused the gays community for taking metrosexual as straights not homosexual..So far we have been living in a world where it is already clear.....straight male (North) ....straight female ( South ).....gay ( East) and lesbians ( West ).....
Unless we would like to add metrosexual as (North East ) , transsexual ( South East ) ......Bisexual ( North West) ....and i missed South West .....anyone care to name that?
( BTW, these pictures were taken on top of Taipeh 101)

Kiasu or Kiasi?
Well can't blame of being kiasi as there were spates of break in gym locker and I was one of the victims. Having security man in the locker didn't help at all ....in fact there was one time I caught the security guard dozing off!
I would rather be kiasi for this instance.
Talking about kiasu....was in Singapore last week for a conference. It was the usual stuff of meetings and meetings.....didn't even have the time to shop.....it was Singapore Grand Sale!
My boss brought the team to Equinox.....on the 70th Floor of Swissotel ( which I was staying) for a dinner. The choices were limited actually...maybe they have limited space in the kitchen on the 70th Floor!!!....The serving was kinda small and the taste was not that great.....but who cares .....boss taking the bill!! Next day, we had a event at St James Power Station.....The food serve was like canteen food....seriously...didn't bother to take much....ended ordering room service later in the hotel room.
But Singapore has more variety now in terms of gourmet and cuisines.....but the taste needs improvement..... maybe Singaporean are kiasi not to have too much MSG or salt in its food
Still Malaysia food boleh!...Thats kiasu to you.
